Our strong municipal law commitment has served as the basis for the development and expansion of a separate area of practice in education law. We have developed long-lasting relationships with local education agencies and have actively represented school districts, community colleges, universities, hospitals, and cities in their diverse needs including tort liability, staff evaluation, employee discipline and termination, public bidding, open meeting requirements, student rights and responsibilities, Constitutional Law issues including religion and freedom of expression, drug testing, etc. We frequently participate in in-service training for school districts' personnel Additionally, we have participated in California School Board Association workshops and have prepared materials for the California Consortium of Education Foundation on various education issues.
